Frequently Asked Questions
Have questions about this website? An upcoming reunion? Start here and see if you can find an answer.
The members of the 40th Reunion Planning Committee are Wes Bowman, Brian Ash, Anne (Preuss) Keller, Lori (Cavener) Twitty, Cathy (Dixson) Fredrick and John Sweaney.
The Planning Committee started meeting in March of 2022 and had monthly meetings weighing the pros and cons of various locations. Please read this blog post for an in-depth discussion of how we finally landed on the Friday and Saturday night events.
Unfortunately there's no perfect date that would work for everyone. The Planning Committee wanted to go ahead and get these dates nailed down to start spreading the word to everyone.
If you can't make this date, please visit our Online Directory and add your information so your classmates will at least know what you've been up to.
You can also show your support by becoming a Sponsor or making a Donation for the 40th reunion. Read this blog post for more details.
Our Planning Committee has enough members to take care of the majority of the details for the Friday and Saturday night 40th Reunion events. If too many people get involved in a committee, it actually makes things harder.
But having said that, we've tried to organize our events to minimize any upfront costs for the Committee members. If you would like to help offset the expenses of decorations, water, cake and a few SURPRISES you can show your support by becoming a Sponsor or making a Donation for the 40th reunion. Read this blog post for more details.
The two biggest ways that everyone can help make this event a success are:
- Help spread the word. Don't assume that someone you want to see there already knows about it. Better that they hear about it from multiple people than not at all.
- Participate in our Online Directory. The first question most people ask when they see a classmate at the reunion is "Tell me what you've been up to." By putting that information in our online directory, everyone will know what their classmates have been up to and how to get in touch with them.
We're looking for more candid photos. Not the staged senior pictures or prom photos, but more casual photos of a group of friends.
Those are easier to come by these days since everyone has a smart phone. But those were a little more rare back in '83 when you had to carry around an actual camera.
If you go through your old scrapbooks and find some great photos of you and your friends from high school, please send them our way. Be sure to let us know who is in the photos.
We will add the best submissions to our slideshow at the reunion and share them on our Instagram page.
Yes we are. We think there could potentially be around $2500 in out of pocket costs for the Planning Committee. Read this blog post for more details.
You can help offset these costs and show your support by becoming a Sponsor or making a Donation for the 40th reunion.
